Important Information for
VW Hybrid 0DD Transmission.
Servicing the 0DD hybrid transmission in a VW Golf E is
not as straight forward as the 02E/0D9 front wheel drive
DSG’s, the external filter can not be removed from the
transmission as there is bodywork in the way that stops it
unscrewing all the way out, to add to this the filter needs to
be discharged with a diagnostic machine to relieve the
pressure before it is removed and when refilling the
transmission with oil it needs to be primed to charge the
filter to get the levels correct.
VW do not give any service schedule for the 0DD
transmission, they say unless there is a fault it is filled for
life.
